A postman ‘Wag on the Wall’ clock from the mid 1800s. 
Undoubtedly the work of a Black Forest master clock maker, for the Britain market. All hand-crafted, it features brass sprockets and drive chain, brightly painted enamel face within  a wonderfully patinated walnut frame. Original sand-casted bell, dual weights and chains. This single day mechanism has few complications, with hourly and half hour stikes.
Cleaned and calibrated in 2022 by Merriman’s Antiques, this clock is in perfect working order.
