A profusely carved oak board, originally from the front side of a William and Mary era marriage coffer, and now ideal for a headboard on a queen-sized bed, or just as panel decor.

The board features 4 carved panels that feature men/women in the Elizabethan style. The style of the carving, and the manner of clothing, are quintessentially ‘Jacobean’.

The craftsmanship of the panel is 17th century- pegs holding the panels in place stand proud as expected from 400 years of wood stringing and extending.

The condition is outstanding considering the age, despite the fact that this panel was once part of a large coffer, the rose-head nails are rust free, wood boast unmolested patination, and the entire unit is free of any chips, splits or scratches.

An exceedingly rare and unique piece, these are typically only found at large auctions with estimates north of $10,000
