A POW/Trench art souvenir from the Boer War (1899-1901) . Inscription reads “Boer War South Africa 1899-1901” with the profile of Kruger- one of the Afrikaner’s leaders.  Likely made by a soldier, either during downtime during the campaign, or a Prisoner-of-War during time in captivity.
