A charming, naively painted oil on board miniature religious icon, signed Teofil Piatkowski, 1883. Of polish origin, and in the style of provincial/folk art , the reverse inscription indicates this was a gift for someone’s ’Name Day’ which would be someone’s baptism in Poland. 
The iconography’s likely depicts St Catherine - an important saint in the Eastern Church, comforting a small child, 
The condition is fair, with some damage to the upper corners of the board, and some paint loss.
