An antique school desk with much ‘lived experience’. This unique item shows the scars of years of use, as generations of students etched their initials/names on its lid. It’s a fascinating record of student rebellion. 
The combination of ink, elbow grease and years of wear have left the wood with a wonderfully rich and deep patina. 
Probably of Quebec origin from around 1840, it’s truly a ‘one of a kind’ piece that tells a story.
